• 44' CLASSIC-1

    44' Classic Motor Yacht

This yacht is a collaboration with Interior and Exterior styling from Joseph Artese Design and Naval Architecture from Michael Peters Yacht Design.

Our client, a Pacific Northwest couple, wanted a boat for cruising the San Juan and Gulf Islands. It was primarily for just the two of them but with occasional accommodations for six.

She was to have a 1930’s ambience, raised foredeck, tumblehome aft and mast and boom for a steadying sail, hoisting the dingy and to support a cockpit cover.

The styling combines the best of traditional “down East” with a Pacific Northwest feeling which should make her at ease on either coast.

This vessel was designed from the inside out.  “I was dissatisfied with the existing “picnic style” boats, which are open to the weather and with arrangements that confine traffic to a narrow isle on centerline, emphasis is on relaxing in a living room environment and enjoying the 360 degree view”.

“My favorite design, the “44” has not been built as the clients had an unfortunate change in life style.  We would be interested in working with a new client or builder to see this baby realized.”
